YTScore Reviews – A Review

Keyword research and rank tracking play a vital role in search engine optimization, no matter what kind of business, blog or website you have.

Because the SEO market is constantly growing and evolving, the need to answer all of users demands has brought forth many new tools and features, one of them being YouTube rank trackers.

The rising demand for tracking video rankings directly via YouTube, instead of taking the detour and tracking them on Google, was met with an answer. Over the last couple of years, rank trackers have started to up their game, and many of them now include YouTube rank tracking tool as a decisive part of their selection.

Of course, the gap in the market opened the way for platforms and software focused solely on the YouTube rank tracking aspect of the SEO.

One of these YouTube rank trackers is YTScore.

YTScore – challenge yourself!

YTScore is a simplistic and easy to use tool that will help you keep track of how your videos rank on YouTube.

The creators made this platform for marketing and SEO purposes, as well as for YouTubers. Whichever category you fall under, it’s important to know for which keywords your videos are ranked high or low, and why.

Now, the “why” part is especially important. Many rank tracking platforms offer YouTube rank tracking as part of their selection. But, they will only give you the rankings for a certain keyword, without giving you the insight into the reason behind the rankings.

YTScore claims to show you all, including why you rank at a certain position for a specific keyword, by displaying rankings data, the number of views, likes, and subscribers.

Range of features 5/10

YTScore offers two different features:

  • Video tracker

The video tracker feature allows you to see the rankings of your videos for certain keywords.

The tool will also display additional information like the number of subscribers, likes, and views. You need all this info in order to figure out why your ranking has improved (or why it hasn’t).

  • The challenge feature

The challenge feature allows you to interact and compete with your friends and coworkers, and challenge them to a YouTube stand-off, so to say.

By using this tool, you can set goals, conditions and the duration of a challenge. Then, you can invite your friends and see which of the participants scores the highest.

Tool Performance 5/10

Because YTScore was intended to be easily used by everyone, getting started is not a problem. Also, considering that they only offer two different features, you can’t get lost or turned around.

Getting started

To start tracking your video rankings, you just need to click on the Video Tracker icon on the top of the screen.

That will redirect you to the Video Tracker tool, where you can enter your video URL to get started.

It’s simple and straightforward.

Rank tracking

Once you enter your URL, you’ll be directed to the settings page.

There, you can enter additional information to specify your tracking:

  • Target country base for analyzing
  • Target language for analyzing
  • Keywords

When you do that, just click on the “Add” button to move forward. The data gathering takes time, which is a hassle and an inconvenience for those who prefer instantaneous results.

When you add all the information, this message will appear.

Rankings overview

When you receive the email confirming that the program finished gathering the data, you can return to the Video Tracker page. There, you can select for which video you wish to see the rankings.

You’ll be directed to the dashboard where you can see all the information about your rankings.

The data is displayed in the form of graphs.

The first graph showcases the rankings of the keywords you’ve added, and the second one shows the statistics on the:

  • likes
  • views
  • dislikes
  • favorites
  • comments
  • subscribers

Besides that, the left side panel also provides information on:

  • average ranking
  • total views
  • average watch time

as well as the list of keywords you’re rank tracking for.

On the bottom of the page, you can also find additional information about the video:

  • category
  • date of publishing
  • duration
  • tags

The second feature of YTScore is the challenge feature.

It allows you to create challenges, set goals, conditions and the duration period for them. Then, you can invite your friends and enter into a friendly competition.

For example, you can compete with your friends with the goal to see who can generate more subscribers in two weeks, with the condition of uploading three videos per week.

No matter how many subscribers you and other challenge participants had at the beginning of the challenge, the YTScore tool will measure who got the most subscribers during the set two week period.

That way, you can compare progress and see which strategies generated more traffic and subscribers.

Accuracy 7/10

The accuracy and overall performance of the tool are inconsistent. Some users reported kinks in the ratings overview and mismatches of the data and actual rankings.

Besides that, the platform sometimes has malfunctions which aren’t surprising for a work-in-progress type of a program.

Customer Support 5/10

YTScore doesn’t really offer much when it comes to customer support.

There is no live chat button or a Q&A page. Both of these features are fairly common when it comes to rank tracking tools.

But, considering the low price and the small team that keeps the YTScore operational, the lack of customer support it’s not really surprising.

In their introduction video, the users are encouraged to refer to their Facebook page for help if you have any questions. This is a huge let down because it means that you can even send a ticket or an email directly from their platform if you encounter any problems or bugs.

User-friendliness 8/10

One of the main goals of the YTScore team, aside from the low price, is that anyone can use their platform.

Although there are no instructions in the form of a video or info buttons, the process of using YTScore is pretty self-explanatory, and therefore, user-friendly.

While the user-friendliness is undeniable, the question remains whether it’s due to the simplicity and scarceness of the features or the design that kept the user in mind.

The fact is that this platform is still a work in progress. That means that you’ll probably encounter some problems and kinks along the way.

Considering that the customer support aspect isn’t that strong might mean that you’ll be on your own if any problems arise. That certainly lowers their user-friendliness.

Pricing 9/10

The YTScore platform was made with a low cost in mind. You can use it for free, but, in that case you can only add three videos with 2 keywords per video.

If that isn’t enough to meet your needs, you can always subscribe to a premium account for just $5 per month.

They will encourage you to subscribe to the premium account with a banner like this one, but, you can cancel your subscription at any point during the month.

In summary

Final ranking: 6.5/10

Overall, YTScore seems like an adequate YouTube rank tracking tool. Because it is new on the market and still in development, you might encounter some kinks.

Keep in mind that for a very low price, like the one YTScore offers, you’ll have to give some leeway when it comes to demands and standards.

The advantages and benefits of YTScore are:

  • tracks additional information, such as the number of likes, dislikes, views etc., not just rankings
  • has a challenge feature that allows you to compete with your friends
  • provides insight into why your rankings look the way they do
  • has a really low price per month

Of course, there are some downfalls:

  • data gathering takes a really long time and the data is available only after 24 hours
  • there is no Q&A page or customer support page
  • there are no instructions or info buttons
  • the company has been on the market for just over a year and is still a work in progress

So, while it is a rudimentary tool, it can prove to be quite useful. On top of that, it has a very low price. Therefore, you can really expect much in terms of the range of features.

For five bucks you get the basic tools you need in order to track the rankings of your videos, what more could you want?
